Philosophy & mission
At Telluride Preschool, we believe childhood should be rooted in connection, curiosity, play, and a sense of belonging.
We see children as active participants in their own learning—capable, creative, and naturally driven to explore the world around them. Our approach is play-based, child-led, and relationship-centered, allowing children to learn through hands-on experiences, meaningful interactions, and everyday discovery.
Inspired by the beauty and rhythm of life in Telluride, we value outdoor play, nature-based exploration, and community connection as essential parts of childhood. We strive to create an environment where children feel joyful, known, and excited to learn each day.
Admission & Enrollment
Our process for introducing children to our program is to have a child come visit our facility with his/her parents before they start. This allows children to become familiar with our school and staff before their first day. Please complete our registration request form to get started.
Children are admitted without regard to race culture, sex, religion, national origin, or disability. We do not discriminate on the basis of special needs as long as a safe, supportive environment can be provided. If your child has an identified special need, we will work with your family, and any outside resources, to provide your child with the best education possible. We have close relationships with the school and resource specialists in our town.
All registration forms must be completed and non-refundable enrollment fee paid prior to your child’s first day of attendance.
